CUASC presents The Last Jedi! on 15 December 2017

On the 15th of December 2017, we at CUASC held our annual movie event at Golden Village Suntec City. Star Wars the Last Jedi was screened with a scrumptious buffet spread provided in order to let our alumni gather and get a chance to meet new additions to our family, catch up with each other, reminisce the good old times and at the same time, enjoy the latest edition of George Lucas’s epic science fiction odyssey.

This time round, we even opened up ticket sales to current students in order to form long-lasting and meaningful bridges between past and present students, hoping that current students would feel more welcome into the Curtin Singapore Alumni family even before they graduate. We also invited several of our merchant vendor partners from our Curtin Connect Card initiative, in hopes of strengthening the bonds we have with them and to foster a happy and mutually giving relationship. 3 lucky viewers even managed to win bottles of wine from our lucky draw held before the movie screening.

The movie was exceptional and failed to disappoint, with Oohs and Aahs resounding throughout the theater at many points in time. It was a masterpiece of it’s time, bringing back fond memories to the Star Wars fanatics among the crowd, and possibly converting those who had never watched a Star Wars film to become fellow practitioners of the Force.

Overall, the movie event was a great success, with both young and old going home full and content. We would like to thank everyone who could make this possible, from our cherished alumni, our valued partners and our EXCO team with the student volunteers, whom without this event would not have been possible. Till next time, and may the Force be with you all!
