CUASC Networking Event at The Guild

On the afternoon of November 4th, 2023, the Curtin University Alumni Singapore Chapter (CUASC) gathered at The Guild, a popular bar situated at 55 Keong Saik Road, for a memorable networking and camaraderie event. CUASC Connect, held bi-monthly, offers a unique platform for Curtin Alumni members to come together, sharing their love for food, drinks, and each other's company. This particular gathering held a special charm, as it included a touch of appreciation in the form of CUASC pin badges for the dedicated regular alumni supporters.

CUASC Connect stands as Curtin Alumni's inaugural event, offering a laid-back environment for friends and acquaintances to reconnect, forge new connections, and fortify their alumni network. The intimate and inviting atmosphere of The Guild, complemented by its delightful finger food and beverages, provided the perfect backdrop for an afternoon filled with laughter, nostalgia, and collaborative endeavors.

The event was graced by enthusiastic alumni members and dedicated exco members. The presence of these exco members adds a sense of familiarity and commitment to every CUASC Connect event, making it feel like a home away from home for all attendees.

In a heartwarming gesture, CUASC chose to express their gratitude to their steadfast alumni supporters during this gathering. Each supporter was presented with a CUASC pin badge by CUASC Secretary, Kemmy Koh. These pins serve as a tangible token of appreciation and a reminder of their ongoing commitment to the alumni community. Beyond being mere badges, they symbolize the shared journey and the collective spirit of Curtin Alumni, no matter where they may be.

The CUASC pin badge is not just a piece of metal; it's a symbol of unity, pride, and a shared history. Each time an alumni member wears it, they carry a piece of Curtin University with them and proudly represent the strong bonds formed during their time at the university.

The afternoon was filled with lively conversations, rekindling of old and new friendships, and alumni members reminiscing about their time at Curtin University. They shared their professional and personal journeys. It was an afternoon where the alumni community truly came alive, forging connections that extended beyond the event itself.

As drinks were raised and stories were swapped, it became evident that CUASC Connect has successfully created a community that transcends geographic boundaries and extends the Curtin University experience into everyday life.
