Curtin University Alumni Singapore Chapter Celebrates Connection and Community at Annual Sundowner 2025

Singapore, 4 October 2025 — The Curtin University Alumni Singapore Chapter (CUASC) hosted its much-anticipated Annual Sundowner 2025 at Skai @ Swissôtel The Stamford, bringing together alumni from across industries to reconnect, share experiences, and celebrate the enduring Curtin spirit of leadership, learning, and community.

The event was graced by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Xiaotian Zhang and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Alex Strojcvski, whose presence reaffirmed Curtin University’s strong ties with its Singapore alumni community. Both leaders expressed their appreciation for CUASC’s continued efforts in fostering meaningful engagement among Curtin graduates and strengthening cross-generational bonds.

In his welcome address, CUASC President James Chen reflected on the chapter’s commitment to nurturing a supportive and connected alumni network.

“Our Curtin alumni community is built on shared experiences, lifelong friendships, and a collective commitment to growth. It’s inspiring to see so many alumni come together to celebrate our common roots and look ahead to new opportunities.” he said.


Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere of networking and reconnection — sharing stories, ideas, and memories that highlighted the unique bond uniting Curtin graduates across different career paths.


Behind the Scenes and On the Ground

Supporting the evening’s coordination was CUASC Secretary Kemmy Koh, Events Director Ashley Khaw and Member Nick Chai who assisted with registration and on-site networking. “It was heartwarming to see so many familiar and new faces,” she shared. “Events like this remind us of the strength of the Curtin family — a community that continues to grow, connect, and inspire across generations.”


The success of the Sundowner was made possible through the dedication and teamwork of the CUASC Executive Committee and the Curtin Advancement Team, whose collaboration ensured a seamless and memorable evening for all attendees.

As the event concluded, there was a palpable sense of optimism and enthusiasm for the future of the Curtin alumni community in Singapore.
