A Night of Celebration at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore
It was a night to remember as representatives from Curtin University Alumni Singapore (CUASC) joined fellow graduates and friends from across Australia’s universities at the Australian Alumni Singapore (AAS) 70th Anniversary Gala Dinner. Themed “Platinum & Diamond: Legacy”, this milestone celebration marked seven decades of connection, achievement, and collaboration among Australia’s vibrant alumni community in Singapore.
The ballroom was filled to capacity with over 400 distinguished guests, including academics, business leaders, and alumni from various Australian institutions. The evening featured gourmet dining, uplifting performances by the Australian International School Choir, and exciting lucky draw prizes.

Curtin Alumni Singapore Recognised as Most Outstanding Alumni Association
A proud highlight of the evening was CUASC once again being honoured as the Most Outstanding Alumni Association, reaffirming the chapter’s commitment to fostering lifelong connections, professional growth, and community engagement.
CUASC President Mr. James Chen received the award on behalf of the team.
“This recognition truly belongs to our entire Curtin alumni family. It reflects the teamwork, dedication, and shared spirit that unite us — not just within Singapore, but across the global Curtin network,” said James Chen, CUASC President.
Celebrating with Curtin Leaders and Global Partners
The Exco was honoured to welcome Professor Alex Stojcevski, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Campus President of Curtin Singapore, whose presence made the evening even more meaningful. His unwavering support and encouragement continue to strengthen the bridge between the university and its alumni network. Professor Alex expressed pride in Curtin’s strong representation and its active role within the wider Australian alumni community.
Joy, Laughter, and a Touch of Luck!
The night was filled with moments of joy and camaraderie — including a delightful surprise when Exco member Kemmy Koh won the 7th lucky draw prize and another member Alvim Wong winning the 2nd lucky draw prize, adding extra sparkle to an already unforgettable evening!
Hosted by AAS President Andrew Er and supported by AAS Patron H.E. Allaster Cox, the Australian High Commissioner to Singapore, the event reflected the enduring ties between Australia and Singapore — where education, friendship, and legacy intertwine.
Looking Ahead: Where Legacy Meets the Future
As Curtin Alumni Singapore celebrates this recognition, the Exco remains dedicated to nurturing meaningful connections, fostering professional collaboration, and giving back to both the university and the wider community.
The evening was not just a celebration of legacy — but also a reminder of the bright future that lies ahead, where alumni, university leaders, and partners continue to grow together in the true Curtin spirit of integrity, excellence, and innovation.
