On 27 September 2022, the Australian High Commissioner to Singapore, His Excellency Mr Will Hodgman, officially opened the Curtin University Singapore Campus. The official opening event was attended by Curtin University Chancellor Dr Andrew Crane, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Harlene Hayne, Navitas Co-Founder and Chairman Rod Jones, Navitas Group CEO Scott Jones, Navitas Executive General Manager Tony Cullen and His Excellency Dato' Dr. Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, The High Commissioner of Malaysia.
Congratulations to Curtin Singapore who has officially unveiled its new campus in the heart of the busy Singapore Science Park 2 precinct! The new campus will provide students with an outstanding student experience and the opportunity to study alongside potential future employers. Curtin Singapore Pro Vice Chancellor and President Prof. Linley Lord said, "We are delighted to take up residence at our new home in the Alpha building at the Science Park 2 precinct with all that is on offer here, including proximity to industry, a wide range of formal and informal learning spaces, brand new teaching spaces and a purpose-built cyber-security room.
"As part of the move, we have also enhanced our learning and teaching opportunities by adding new programs to meet the demands of the region and provide students with additional career opportunities."
Since Curtin Singapore campus first opened in 2008, we have seen many students become part of Curtin’s community of global alumni. As part of this important community, we are delighted to extend an exclusive invitation to you to be part of the new campus opening celebrations.
The new Curtin Singapore campus will be co-located with industry within the Singapore Science Park 2 precinct, a thriving hub for innovation and research. This new strategic location will provide six additional courses for students and further enhance the city as one of the premier destinations for higher education in the region. This exciting new era for Curtin Singapore will help advance Curtin’s strength and standing as a global university while continuing the legacy of providing world-leading education.
The new campus opening was combined with the fifth annual Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) lecture delivered by Ms Caroline Scott, Deputy Head of Australia’s Mission to ASEAN.
